what is lalalab

lalalab is a media art production and research center, specially interested in the relations between art, technology, society and the CITY.

Founded by artists Clara Boj and Diego Diaz, lalalab is specialized in creating educative interactive instalations, experimenting with new media tools and in creating hybrid experiences in the city.  lalalab is also a new media consulting office.

lalalab is open to artists with a proyect that need help in any step of their creative process or wish to collaborate with us in our own productions. It is located in El Carmen neibourghood in Valencia. We have a complete digital production lab, human resources and lots of energies and enthusiasm.

lalalab organizes open workshops for artist, presentations, seminars and informal events to promote a network of artist and researchers in Valencia in connection with other similar center in Spain and overseas.

lalalab is an open space.

Clara and Diego work together since year 2000. Their work combines, art, science and technology concepts and tools to create interactive experiences. They combine their artistic carrier with an extense research in interactive environment design, urban strategies and networked experiences on the city. In their pieces they use multimedia technologies to build new devices mixing physical and digital public space, trying to stablish continuity between olds and news social interaction forms. At present time they enjoy the Alfons Roig art grant to continue their research at Interface Culture Lab at Linz University.
